We welcome Dr Mariangela Dionysopoulou, a new visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Pliotas group. Mariangela will visit the lab for 5 months and work on characterising novel eukaryotic mechanosensitive ion channels using advanced structural and single molecule methods, funded by a BBSRC EU(Greece) partnership award. All members of the Pliotas group wish Mariangela the very best of success in her new scientific adventure.
